Beautiful plugs, bad reaction
"I bought a pair of these a while back; they're quite fetching, i got a great deal, and i was genuinely looking forward to wearing them. Quick shipping and excellent customer service as always. When i bought them, i was sizing up to 1" from 7/8" and not quite at full stretch to accommodate the 1" larsonite plugs i bought. When i did get there, i put them in and treated it like every other time I'd sized up: put them in, it'll be a little tight for a week or so but not unbearable, and you're good to go. Except the skin peeled and tore on the inside of my lobes and i got long blood blisters where my skin had come into contact with the new plugs (which is what tore open), and my lobes swelled and cracked. I thought i had done something wrong -- maybe stretching too much too fast, even though I'd done nothing different from what I'd always done and never before had i had this reaction. So I babied my ears, went back to 7/8, and waited until they'd fully healed before stretching again until i was ready to plop the 1"plugs in. Same thing happened. Again i went back to 7/8, babied and healed up my ears, but I got a different set of 1" plugs just to test. Same method, but now with the different plugs (not larsonite), and no reaction. I've had these new plugs in for over a week, they fit comfortably, so i decided to put the larsonite back in now that the "they haven't fully stretched" has been eliminated as a reason for the reaction. I wore them for twelve hours (no tightness, fits well) and the blood blisters are forming and my lobes are swelling. I wanted to put this up there in case anybody else has super sensitive skin. Whether it's the mineral composition or whether a stabilizer had to be added to harden them i don't know, but there is a potential irritant in there for sensitive folks. They are beautiful plugs and I'm incredibly disappointed i can't wear them."

Luck of the draw..
"Great quality plugs as always, I was just really hoping for more variation in color, like it shows in the product pictures of beautiful browns/golds variegated with blues/greens. Mine are solid blue/green with no grain effect that's notoriosly characteristic of jaspers, but I know that's just the luck of the draw when buying natural stones. I might just have to bite the bullet on this one and try to purchase another set in hopes to get those gorgeous contrasting colors I was hoping to see in this order. Kinda bummed on this one."

"They’re nice but definitely more green than anticipated. It could just be the size (1/2) that causes the lack in vibrancy. Nonetheless they are pretty and have a nice wood grain to them."
