Gorgeous

"I’ve been stretching my septum for a while now and I always always buy these captive bead rings. They’re my absolute favorite. Although the ball is tricky to get in, unlike other septum’ rings, I never have to worry about losing it and buying replacements once it’s in."

Easy Peasy

"These captive spring beads are great since you don’t have to have any special equipment, but they can be a little tricky to get the ball in there. It has to be just right, but still great jewelry."

Q&A

I bought an identical piece from another website (also steel) but it was way too lightweight, I need something heavy!!! Is this considered to be “heavy” by normal standards for jewelry at this size?: It would depend on the gauge size!
What is the diameter of the bead?: It depends on the size of the ring and can range from 5mm to 8mm.
Are these true to size? If it says 8G is it truly 8G or is it slightly smaller?: Saylor, These measure at 3.0mm. Hope this helps!
What does length denote on rings? Diameter? Circumference?: Hi Bill, The length of a ring refers to the inner diameter of a ring. For example, Im looking at a very large 0g segment ring right now. Its overall diameter 1 3/16" due to the large gauge, but the inner, "wearable" diameter is 1/2". Hope this helps!
Do you need a spreader to put these in?: No, the spring bead just pops in/out so they are easier to insert/take out.
